Description

These guys might not be the rarest find on earth but the Dragonet are relatively beautiful fish, at least when they are young.

The Juvenile Orange & Black dragonet comes with oranges, yellows, blues and more when small and as they mature turn a sandy brown. Sounds like some office workers I know back home.

Here is another shot of one.

Orange and Black Dragonette

They can be a bit tricky to photograph, as they move frequently and when they do, it is more like a hop your eyes can’t follow, this is also how they feed, ambushing smaller prey with lightning speed.

In my opinion, they are not overly light sensitive, they just get annoyed at you being around for too long and disturbing their feeding.

Happy hunting!

Juvenile Cuttlefish

When cuttlefish are extremely small, only a 10 - 15cm across they have a habit of coming to the reef or sandy area, making small holes in the ground in which they sit, then camouflaging themselves to the surrounding environment not only by color, but also by texture. The most amazing part of this be [...]

Octopus In a Can, Holding a Snail Gun

Don't worry, this isn't like Chicken in a can, not sure what I'm talking about, Google it. I took this photo on my all time favourite night diving experience ever, in a little place named Anilao, in the Philippines, 3 hours South of Manilla by bus. Great sleepy little place to visit, oddly it's also [...]
